In healthcare, there is a need to handle and store patients’ belongings safely, for everyone’s security and peace of mind. In cooperation with expertise from the healthcare sector, we have developed a range of security bags that help create a secure chain of custody when handling patients’ valuables and personal belongings.
The patient bags are sealed with a security closure that has been tested and approved, with certification from SBSC, the Swedish Fire and Security Certification body. This means that once a security bag has been sealed, it cannot be opened or tampered with without clear visible evidence. The integrity of the contents can therefore be easily verified.
Each bag is marked with a unique number and barcode. The bag also has an inner compartment for the items being stored, as well as an external document pocket where documentation relating to the contents can be placed. Both compartments are sealed when the security tape at the opening is closed.
The bags also have a writable field on the outside, allowing details about the owner of the belongings to be noted. All sizes are supplied with detachable self-adhesive receipts. These receipts carry the same unique number as the bag and can be attached to acknowledgements, records or similar documentation.
As part of our continuous work to reduce our environmental impact, the bags are made from at least 85% recycled material. They are therefore permitted to carry the Blue Angel / Der Blaue Engel label, one of the strictest certifications for products made from recycled materials.
The recycled material used is PCR material, Post-Consumer Recycled, meaning that plastic from consumers has been recovered and reused. This is material that would otherwise have been incinerated or, in the worst case, sent to landfill.
